Obituary

William Anthony Allen, 67 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed on December 22, 2022. William was proceeded in death by his wife Rene Carroll-Allen and parents Edward Calvin Allen and Salina Covington.  He is survived by his daughter, Deidra Saina, two grandsons, Makai and Isaiah, brother Edward Allen (Isabelle), niece Corisha, step-children Lisa and Dewayne Mahone, and step-grandchildren Maya, Christian, Layla, and Nyla.

Willam served as a Security Forces Service Member in the US Air Force from 1974-1977.  After serving in the military, William earned a degree in technical engineering. Throughout his life, William loved connecting with people and putting smiles on their faces and he always made sure strangers became friends. William’s passion was family and bowling and he was a three time national bowling champion. After caring for his wife throughout her battle with cancer, his desire to pursue a career in healthcare was realized. William decided to earn a degree in the healthcare field and he spent the last 5 years of his life as a Pharmacy Technician. Most recently, he worked at Ascension, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
