Donald Leaks

A beloved & devoted husband, a cherished father, & remarkable grandfather, Donald “Don” Leaks, departed this earthly realm on August 13, 2024. 

Born August 4, 1954, to Effie Lee and George Leaks, Sr., his life was a testament to the beauty of a smile that could brighten even the darkest rooms. 

Donald, affectionately known as "Doc" to some, served in the US Navy and was a faithful employee of the Dallas VA for over 20 years. 

 He was preceded in death by his mother Effie Lee & his father George Leaks, Sr. 2 brothers, and 2 granddaughters. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Yolanda Leaks of 20 years, brother George Leaks, Jr. of Longview, TX, son, Amarfio Washington, and two daughters Tosha Washington and Tomorrow Watkins all of Longview, TX, stepson Makinli McDaniel and stepdaughter Monica Hamilton (Arthur Hamilton), of Dallas, TX 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
