Colquitt Henry, Jr. was born on June 9, 1940, in San Augustine, Texas to the late Ms. Thelma Greer Henry and Colquitt Henry, Sr. Colquitt accepted Christ at an early age. He received his formal education at Booker T. Washington High School in the Dallas County School System. Colquitt worked for Varel Mining steel industry for several years. On July 19, 1960, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Mamie Washington and to this union one child was born, Shelia. He later was united in Holy Matrimony to Trudia Sharper and to this union three children was born, Colquitt Henry III, Colina (LaShawn), and Thelma. Colquitt Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, He will be forever Loved and Truly Missed. Colquitt Jr’s legacy of faith, hope, and love will be cherished by his three children; Shelia Ingram, Mesquite, Texas; Colina LaShawn Carter (Patrick) Tyler, Texas; Thelma Jean Sharper, Red Oak, Texas; Grandchildren; Isreal Henry, Shequila (Courtney) King, Christopher Ingram, all of Dallas, Texas; Kevin and De’Andre Cornist of Tyler, Texas; Jeremiah Wright, Red Oak, Texas; Great-Grand Children; Nearriah Henry, Jaliseah King, Danuwell King, and Aliyanah King, all of Dallas, Texas; Merrell Sparks, Briley Sparks, Jeremiah Cornist, and Levi Cornist all of Tyler, Texas; Nieces; Jackie Green and Angela Nijie, of Dallas, Texas; Nephews; Alvin Burris Jr., Dallas, Texas; Joseph Burris, Alexandria, Egypt and a host of other relatives and friends.
