Goodbye

I didn’t think you would be leaving this Earth so soon
I wish I got the chance to say goodbye
But you were gone before I knew it
God is the only person that knew why

I never knew how much I would need you
To this day, I still break down in moments alone
If love was the only thing that could have kept you here
I know that you would not have gone

Whilst you were here, I loved you with all my heart
And in death, I will continue to love you still
There is a special place in my heart for you
That no one else could ever fill

I can’t believe that you are gone
But I know that you didn’t go on your own
Half of me went with you
On the day that God decided to take you home.
