Dad,

Though heaven called your name away,
Your love still guides me every day.
I hear your wisdom in the quiet air,
And feel your strength when you're not there.

The chair may sit empty, the room may grow still,
Yet your presence remains, and always will.
For fathers like you never truly depart,
They leave their footprints upon the heart.

I miss your laughter, your comforting smile,
The way you made life's burdens worthwhile.
I'd give anything for one more embrace,
One more moment to look upon your face.

But love is stronger than death can be,
And the bond we share lives endlessly.
So until we meet on heaven's bright shore,
I'll carry your memory forevermore.
